SpeedPulser

The SpeedPulser is an essential tool for converting gearboxes that lack the fitment for older-style physical speedometer cables. As these original cables become increasingly difficult to source, the SpeedPulser brings your system up to a modern standard by converting an electronic signal into one that drives a PWM-controlled motor, which in turn powers your original speedometer.

Equipped with an ESP32 microcontroller, the SpeedPulser accepts any 12V pulse—whether from OEM Hall Sensors within the gearbox (02J, 02M, etc.) or through Can2Cluster with its optional speedometer output. All inputs are fully configurable through software for easy customization.

Installation is quick and hassle-free, requiring no modifications to your cluster. Simply slide the SpeedPulser over the OEM speedometer shaft at the back of the cluster and secure it with two pins. That’s it—you're ready to go!

Designed to fit MK1, MK2, and Scirocco clusters, the SpeedPulser can also be adapted to fit other makes and models. We have already made variants for Mercedes W123 / W124. Please get in touch with any custom requests.

Note: As an aftermarket part, clearance around the adapter should be considered. On some chassis, space may be tight.  Final firmware to be confirmed at order stage or uploaded by end user.  A BLDC motor is used and like any motor - has hardware limitations for lower & upper speeds.  Users should expect a useable range, but low speed (<20kmh) may be zero.  Similarly for upper speed ranges.
